Find Holidays Online

Trying to find holidays online is surprisingly difficult.  It's not that you can't find companies selling holidays, it's just that there are so many, and it is difficult to narrow it down to the holiday you really want and at the right price.

Away Worldwide

Away Worldwide is an excellent new travel website, it is more than a travel website in that it is also a social network.  In the beta stages, Away Worldwide is very new, but the tools it offers for finding a holiday are extremely innovative, and the site is expected to soon make its mark on the UK travel market.

Finding a holiday company

Suppose you want a certain kind of holiday, e.g. a golf holiday or a scuba diving holiday, or maybe you want to know which tour operators go to particular holiday destinations?  Away Worldwide aims to answer these questions with an extensive Travel Directory.  All of the Travel Directory entries are tagged so for example you can find all the companies specialising in golf holidays or maybe you are interested in villa specialists.  Or perhaps you want to travel by ferry and don't know which ferry companies operate to where from the UK?  Check out the entire Ferry Company list where you can find all this information.

As mentioned previously, Away Worldwide is still in Beta which means it is at a pre-launch stage.  An extensive search facility will soon be ready for launch which will give UK holiday consumers a whole new way to search for holidays online.

If you are interested in sharing your travel experiences with other people then do consider signing up.  You can write Travel Blogs, vote on Travel Polls, and look forward to the Travel Forum which will soon be going live.  As Away Worldwide is about offering a service to the Travel Consumer, then it is really important to get people signing up and contributing, because this way they can make suggestions for improvements and what more they would like to see from this new holiday website.

The advanced search features planned will enable holiday consumers to really narrow down the features they want in a holiday.  No more wading through looking for availability and then finding out the hotel isn't really going to suit your needs.  Away Worldwide plans to turn the way people search for holidays on its head giving the consumer a far superior holiday booking experience.
