High Street Smurf Shop Frenzy coming soon!

Smurf merchandise became more readily available in the high street shops with the launch of the smurf movie in Summer 2011, but you won't find the older more collectible smurfs in the high street shops.  The current range of Schleich animals are on sale in ToysRUs in the UK and we had hoped that once the Smurf Movie was released that the Smurf ranges would also find their way into the shop as they are also currently manufactured by Schleich, but this does not appear to have happened nationwide.  Bully also used to manufacture Smurfs and you will find some of the older smurfs bear this mark instead of Schleich.  Smurfs being available in the high street shops would be particularly good news for smurf collectors who are interested in buying the smurf buildings because these are the most costly item to purchase online because they are heavy and delivery costs are high, especially if you are buying from overseas.

If you are planning on buying a lot of smurfs for maybe a Christmas or Birthday gift, then we would really recommend buying from one of the established smurf shops. This way you are only paying one lot of postage and you also have some comeback if you are not happy with your purchases in any way. Remember if you are purchasing from overseas to check whether you are going to incur customs & excise duties because this can add a lot to the total price you pay.

Another great way to find smurfs is by visiting a Smurf Fair. In October every year the Leyseele sisters hold their annual Smurf Fair in Belgium where you can look at the smurfs for sale in your hand before making the decision to buy.
